  • StopJetLag Mobile Apps (2009-2024): Development of app across iPhone and iPad, Android, and Windows.

  • Merck Pharmaceuticals (1996-2006): Lead Windows Desktop UI Designer – Robotics Drug Discovery Data Collection Visualization Tool -- Developed processing rules and infrastructure for data manipulation of increasingly large data sets as the lab went from a manual testing process to the current robotics-based testing process.
  • ServicePower (2008): Assisted in creating the release version of the ServiceGPS (Fleet Management) web-based application.
  • Konaware (2007-2008): Refined Java software for the Konaware LVM (Location, Event and Vehicle Management) Platform.

  • Apple Computer (1993-1994): Macintosh front end to an Oracle database for the Apple Developer Group. SQL-based conversion of data for a major schema change.
  • ReSound Hearing Corporation (1988-1993): Internationalized Windows program with graphics and database access for a PC desktop medical program and a Windows 95 sound manipulation program.

  • Fisher Investments -– Designed a range of C# projects addressing Fisher business processes which included a layered architecture that allowed for displaying information using either a desktop or web UI presentation layer, creating SQL Server 2005 database schemas, creating a flexible automated testing framework, plus a project to dynamically generate a Blackberry compatible website from database information. Responsible for supporting a legacy code web application written in Python.
  • Merck Pharmaceuticals: Robotics Group -- Worked with data collection from formation of the group in 1996 through 2006. Major responsibility: Java Class Architect, responsible for designing and implementing data manipulation and visualization for a Windows desktop tool for drug discovery experiments captured by a range of robotics equipment. Co-designer of the infrastructure that allowed the high-throughput screening drug discovery lab to go from 2,000 manual tests to 500,000 robotics-driven sample tests per week. Java Rich Client Front End using Swing - Oracle Database – Weblogic Middleware.
  • Taleo –- The Taleo compensation web apps used Birt Reporting, Apache, PHP, MySQL, and Java.
  • StopJetLag™ –- The StopJetLag website uses Apache, PHP, MySQL, Javascript with JQuery, XHTML and CSS to allow travelers to order StopJetLag Plans.
  • StopJetLag™ Expert System –- The StopJetLag expert system uses C# to create StopJetLag Plans.
  • StopJetLag™ Mobile Apps –- The StopJetLag Mobile App uses C# with .NET Maui, Xamarin Forms, and Microsoft Azure technologies.
  • ServicePower -– Assisted with creating the release version of the ServiceGPS fleet management web tool. Used Javascript, Google Maps API, Java, JPA, JSF, and Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Konaware -– Range of web projects for the Konaware LVM platform including Java web-based graphics plus creating Oracle database schemas and PL/SQL packages. Used Java, JPA, JSF, PHP and Tomcat to implement the Konaware API.
  • AT&T Western Technology Center / Geosphere Communications -- Lead on the Electronic Commerce Server Project. Major responsibility: converting proprietary Electronic Marketplace Systems (see below) Windows-based electronic commerce server to open Internet standard system. Oracle DBA work and PL/SQL stored procedure architecture.
  • Electronic Marketplace Systems -- C++ Class Architect and implementation for Cybermart (Online Electronic Commerce Application – Microsoft Windows)
  • SaveSmart -- Delphi Client-Server Front End, Oracle Stored Procedure Infrastructure.

    • C++ Windows Application -- Windows 95 Multimedia Application with extensive sound manipulation.
    • C++ Windows Application -- Fitting and Client Management Database Program for their computerized hearing aid specialists with International Distribution in German, French, Spanish and English. Responsible for program design, all underlying classes for graphics, data structures and database access.
    • Created command line ultrasonic software with extensive parameter checking based on an object oriented design for EEprom programming.
    • Updated ultrasonic software for EEprom testing.
    • Implemented a custom graphical user interface for a medical program on the IBM PC.
  • Apple Computer Developer Services: 4th Dimension -- SQL, PL/SQL client server front end for an Oracle based database. Responsible for data migration using SQL and PL/SQL from one production database schema version to an updated one. 200,000 rows affected.
  • Gallo Wine Corporation -- Design review of an in-progress expert system which maximized the number of cases of wine that can be packed into a given number of freight cars thereby minimizing freight charges by optimizing the packing pattern of various size shipping cases.
  • Apple Computer Developer Services: Database Administrator -- Provided database support for the Developer Services Group. Prototyped new accounts receivable, program in 4th Dimension. Assisted in a project to consolidate information from a PC-based to a client/server architecture.
  • Kinetic Productions Ltd. -- Computerized tour management accounting and itinerary planning.
  • Airwave Manufacturing -- Developed database applications for inventory control, accounts receivable and invoicing.
  • Evaluated and implemented office computer solutions including custom programming using various software packages in Architecture, Law, Investment Brokerage, Advertising, and Manufacturing.
